Summary
July was rather a quiet month for Blodeuwedds expedition; the fleet carrier continued sailing deeper and deeper in Formidine Rift toward the rim, aiming to visit several notable other fleet carriers. After leaving DSSA #77, the carrier further sailed straight toward the border between FR and Kepler's Crest.  No asteroid stations seen after departure from Heart & Soul Nebula.  In July, the bridge started proactive communications with non-crew commanders outside the carrier; had one fortunate encounter with other carrier captain, as well as random hitchhikers which were getting more and more popular to be seen across the galaxy.

The other carrier - the Hapax captain let Blodeuwedds Branch bridge know that he had already entered Kepler's Crest region. BB is to follow the Hapax rapidly now as the technical issues the bride had been suffering from were all addressed for now.

Fleet Carrier in Bubble Nebula

Fleet Carrier in Bubble Nebula

Highlights: Nebula round trip in a limited amount of time, fleet carriers' presence in the nebula

CMDR comments: This visit needed a quick decision whether to carry out or not, since the fleet carrier was about to depart Heart & Soul Nebula in the evening and the timing the visit idea came up on the commander's mind was the morning of the same day.  The Bubble Nebula was located approximately 3000Ly away from Heart and Soul, which took a little less than 50 FSD jumps by the commander's engineered Diamondback Explorer. Definitely it was located not in a "close neighborhood," but if missed this opportunity most likely next chance to see this Nebula up-close will be months away, so commander Godthab carried out the plan.   Fortunately he was able to return to the carrier by late afternoon of that day.

Commander had guessed prior to the round trip that one or two fleet carriers would be anchored in or around the Bubble Nebula, but actually he confirmed three carriers' presence when he arrived there.  Which were following ones:
The view of the Bubble Nebula was magnificent, but just like most of other Nebulae, it was best to see it from a distance, rather than trying to see it from inside the Nebula.

The Zurara

The Zurara, an abandoned megaship

Highlights: Depression issues of the crew, record of the logbook written by doomed commanders at the Zurara

CMDR comments: The Zurara might be the most well known POI in Formidine Rift other than those abandoned bases in Eafots sector.  Already quite a few numbers of fleet carriers were anchored in the Zurara system, but since it was not the bridge's preference to anchor the carrier in the excessively populated system, Blodeuwedds anchored in a system a little away from the Zurara system.   All logbook records were successfully retrieved from the data link of the abandoned megaship.  Which gave commander Godthab an impression that what the poor commanders who came all the way over here across the galaxy believed was nothing but a typical easy money-making fraud.  The meanest thing about the Zurara case was that those dead ones had to sacrifice their own life completely not knowing it.

Other notable thing getting to be observed was that more and more crew seemed to start suffering from "outerrim depression."  Medical bay was getting more and more busy as the carrier sailed further and further toward the outer rim.  Some took a prescribed medication, or medical counseling.  Others utilized Telepresence Technology to virtually see their family or friends in the Bubble.  Commander Godthab also occasionally used Telepresence to jump in bounty hunting going on in the Bubble via multi-crew technology.

Undiscovered Earth-Like Worlds and Water Worlds

CMDR comments: This might potentially not be the tendency seen only in Formidine Rift but also other outerrim regions, so it would be too early to fully assume it was only of Formidine Rift, but the further the carrier proceeded, the more Earth-Like Worlds and Water Worlds type planets showed up in front of commander Godthab's eyes.  Almost all were undiscovered. In the end of July he had found a good number of WW or ELW and registered his commander name as a discoverer.

August is already here and commander Godthab still runs into undiscovered ELW and WW planets on his way toward Kepler's Crest.  He continues to log the records of discovery of these types of planets to confirm if Kepler's Crest is going to show a similar tendency to him.

CMDR Godthab out.
