A little before the expedition carriers started heading toward the next waypoint #8 from outside Dryman exclusion zone, this one jumped again on his personal fleet to head up in the north-western sectors from Dryman. If you had taken the shortest way straight from Dryman to WP8 it was a little less than 7,000Ly.  Instead, this one chose to say hello to the crew of DSSA Heart of Gold first, then head further down to WP8 along Norma Arm.

Star reflection

Mixed colors of pink and purple

Star reflection

-------------------------------------------------
System: CLOOMAE MM-W E1-1
Planet: N/A
Place: Planetary Nebula
-------------------------------------------------
There was a planetary nebula at the point roughly 1,700Ly to the DSSA ship so this one dropped in at it in CLOOMAE sector. The system had a black hole at the FSD arriving point accompanied with a K (Yellow-Orange) star. Yellow-orange star color was mixed with blue planetary nebula which showed compounded color of pink and pale purple to the visitors.

Black Hole, literally

Reflection of nearby nebulae

DSSA Heart of Gold

-------------------------------------------------
System: CLOOMEIA FG-Y E95
Planet: N/A
Place: DSSA Heart of Gold (Q9G-9TL)
-------------------------------------------------
15 jumps from CLOOMAE sector to DSSA Heart of Gold on the highway route didn't hurt at all. A quick travel it was. This CLOOMEIA system also had a black hole at the FSD arriving point but its another star - F (White) star was far away from the hole thus things looked very dark and literally black. The attrition rate of FSD was down to around 90% because of the supercharge jumps to take the highway route by the time this one landed on the pad of DSSA Heart of Gold. Having trusted the dock staff to repair the FSD, exterior and whatnot, this one visited the carrier's Universal Cartographics office to cash out scan data. Evallyn Meyers, the UC office manager quickly calculated the value of the data and paid approx. 9 million CR to the visitor from Dryman area.

Finally it was time to head to WP8, aka Shade of Anubis in HYPOE PLOE sector. 3,600Ly was not a short distance, but not too long either thanks to neutron highway.  Blodeuwedds Branch and TFS Quantum Harmonic had already departed Dryman area, heading straight toward Shad of Anubis as well.
In HYPOE PLOE sector, two Water Worlds were firstly found by him.
  • HYPOE PLOE MZ-S b48-30 / C1
  • HYPOE PLOE VQ-Z b44-1 / 2

HYPOE PLOE AA-A H27 Nebula

Waiting for the arrival of the expedition carriers

Docked back onboard Blodeuwedds

-------------------------------------------------
System: HYPOE PLOE SA-E B28-27
Planet: N/A
Place: Shade of Anubis
-------------------------------------------------
HYPOE PLOE sector has a big red flapping nebula named just as "AA-A H27" and Shade of Anubis was located right next to - or in the middle of - this burning flame in the sky. Having felt a little tired, this one landed his Diamondback Explorer on a moon in the system to wait for the arrival of two expedition carriers.
Just one night sleep was enough to reunite with Blodeuwedds. In the morning of the next day, this one found the carriers were already in the same system with him when he checked the cartographics data. He docked back onboard BB and just as he did on DSSA Heart of Gold, he had his fleet fully repaired while he cashed out his UC data. Another 9 million CR (a little more than that) registered in his account.

Dense star cluster

Upon completion of repair and data cashing this one left the carrier to continue further solo run on his Diamondback Explorer, heading to the next waypoint #9, DSSA Nova Blues. Shortest course was a little less than 4,000Ly with 42 jumps on the highway, but again he chose to stop by some planetary nebulae on the route.  Also it was around this time he gradually realized the increased density of stars on the route. The galaxy did not look pitch black any more; it looked dark gray and largely amber now. This was the view you got to have when approaching the centre of the Galaxy.

Sea of Blue

Neutron star

-------------------------------------------------
System: SHROGEE NS-U E2-189
Planet: N/A
Place: Planetary Nebula
-------------------------------------------------
First "stop-by" location was in SHROGEE sector. The target planetary nebula system had a neutron star in the system. Because of the presence of the neutron star and planetary nebula wrapping the system, everything looked light-blue which made him feel as if he was in an aquarium.  The view also made him remember a blue planetary nebula he stopped by on the route from Colonia to the centre of the galaxy.
Another Water World was found in HYPIO FLYAO sector.
  • HYPIO FLYAO YT-Q d5-295 / 12

Gazing eye

Eggplant Nebula

-------------------------------------------------
System: SHROGEAU FV-Y E3050
Planet: N/A
Place: Planetary Nebula
-------------------------------------------------
Just 3 supercharged jumps brought him to the next "stop-by" location, another planetary nebula in SHROGEAU sector. This planetary nebula had a black hole again, and the nearby nebula presence was giving a characteristic look to this planetary nebula. At one angle it totally looked like an eyeball, then at another angle the eyeball changed its shape to something similar to an eggplant.

Four Water Worlds in one system

On the final run toward WP9, this uncommon system in EORD PRAU sector was firstly found by this one, which had four Water Worlds in the system A star orbit.
  • EORD PRAU GN-H d11-4139 / A3, A4, A5 and A8

DSSA Nova Blues having EORD PRAU AA-A H12 Nebula behind
-------------------------------------------------
System: EORD PRAU ZK-N D7-711
Planet: 4
Place: DSSA Nova Blues (KFX-W3Z)
-------------------------------------------------
Another 16 highway jumps, then this one finally arrved in waypoint #9 where DSSA Nova Blues was anchored.

DSSA Nova Blues insignia

This great DSSA carrier was parking close to the system planet 4, having a perfect view of EORD PRAU AA-A H12 Nebula in the neighbourhood. Not only the fleet repair and UC data cash-out, he decided to take a rest onboard Nova dropping by at the bar and renting a cabin room.

It appeared there were a lot of things to see, unknown things to be discovered.

CMDR Godthab out.
