Been and not been
More than 4 months have passed since this one completed participation in the expedition Core Regions 3307, led by captain Junagu with his carrier Blodeuwedds Branch sailing with captain Rhodes' carrier heading to the centre of the Galaxy. After the expedition was over in the centre some remained onboard the carrier; others headed to the Bubble, deeper in the black, wherever each wanted to stay or head to. As for the case of this one, he tagged along with Blodeuwedds to Colonia then bid farewell to others as he chose to stay in Colonia region for a while before returning back to the Bubble.
So what he was doing in Colonia? Answer is, almost nothing. He was taking a rest most of the time, indulging in drinking at random bars in Jaques Station. From time to time he got a little extra money by working on transport business in greater Colonia region, mainly around starports managed by Tenjin Pioneers. In the meantime he hopped on a carrier heading to the Bubble and returned to the familiar part of the Galaxy.
This one did enjoy this expedition he took part in for the second time in his commander career; through it he learned more new things, such as how to plot supercharge jumps in an efficient manner; mystery of locked Dryman region; difference of star distribution depending on the altitude and such. Too bad he had too little time to go scouting due to some works he had to finish in the cabin, but anyway it was a nice and different experience from his first time expedition to the outer rim - as there were a lot of participants for Core Region 3307, while there were less than 5 when he visited Formidine Rift, Kepler's Crest and Xibalba.
With that all being said, however, he had this feeling that he would like to go on an expedition, in a different way, when he would give it a try for the third time. Looking at the galaxy map he noticed that in the 3rd quadrant, there were several continuous regions he had not been to. Which were: Outer Orion Spur, Achilles's Altar, Lyra's Song and Tenebrae. In other words, most apical part of the Perseus Arm was still mystery to him.
Route plotting
It's not that strange this one got interested in visiting the easternmost area of the Galaxy, as he had been to LYED YJ-I d9-0, Amundsen's Star, which was regarded as the southernmost reacheable part of the Galaxy. He determined to go on a solo trip, taking only Diamondback Explorer with him.
Obviously, preparation is the ultimate key to go on a solo expedition and return alive. AFMU is with no doubt a must. There are many other things he need to restock or purchase before the departure. Still, before long he will be leaving the civilization yet again.
