The slightly damaged hull was a bit of concern, but being fortunate enough to have no malfunctions on the way this one continued his journey having no major troubles. Next waypoint was THROOFA HH-V e2-0, a planetary nebula, 2,605.47Ly away from where he was, reachable by having 41 standard FSD jumps.

Throofa HH-V e2-0 Planetary Nebula

The planetary nebula in THROOFA HH-V e2-0 was a nice one, purple and cloudy, illuminated by the system neutron star. Its color worked as a soothing relief for the CMDR, after having made many jumps diving into black. Next destination was another DSSA fleet carrier; the distance from the planetary nebula was 3,596.13Ly which required his Diamondback Explorer 56 standard FSD jumps to get to. He compared the jump number difference between normal jumps only and jet-cone boosted, but there seemed to be much difference. He chose to make jumps without supercharges as he was in no hurry.

Blooe Eork YT-A e0
Halfway through the leg this system this one came across this system Blooe Eork YT-A e0, which had a number of brown dwarfs and ringed planets orbiting the Blue-White system star and he felt like taking a look a the planet closest to the system star. Confirmed the planet was a high gravity one(1.31G) so he landed on the surface level with extra caution - giving more damage to the ship hull was something he wanted to avoid until arriving at the next DSSA carrier.

So the ship was all right, but he was about to make a fatal mistake in a different way; he disembarked and walked a couple of steps to commence field survey work. A couple of steps were well enough to make him remember that the planet was orbiting closest to the system star and its surface temperature was higher than 1,000 K. Yes, come to think of it an alarm was furiously ringing upon the hatch opening. An alarm that tried to tell him the surface temperature was unsafe for human bodies.

Blooe Eork YT-A e0, Planet 1

He managed to pull his body back into the boarding circle before the baking heat started penetrating through his Artemis suit. Still, he felt pains as if he walked into a fire. Back onboard the ship this one put off the suit to confirm the skin condition. Many parts of his arms, legs, chest and back looked red and slightly swollen. He had to use Advanced Medicines to get all of those rapidly healed.

Sulphur Dioxide Gas Vent

After taking a rest for a while this one set out again on the survey, this time on SRV Scarab. This planet had gas vents scattered across the surface and the gas turned out to be sulphur dioxide as he did composition scanning on the first vent he found near the mountain a little away from where he parked the ship.

DSSA Nereus' Deep front deck

The 56 jumps successfully completed and this one was allowed to land on the fleet carrier, DSSA Nereus' Deep, the last carrier of Achilles's Alter region before his going into the next region. He trusted the hangar crew to repair the damaged hull and entered the lift to visit the carrier concourse. He did see a couple of other travelers but there didn't seem to be many onboard. Access to the command deck was restricted (no wonder) so this one had to keep strolling on the concourse, open for visitors. Bars were closed. Ouch.

Paisley Skinner, Redemption Office Manager

Redemption Office was open. Good. He sold the codex discoveries of the biological entities he found on the way. He continued look around to find another important office.

Juniper Justice, Office Manager of Universal Cartographics

Yes, Universal Cartographics's counter was open too. He cashed out all the FSS/DSS data he collected since he departed DSSA Agronautica, which turned out to be more than 60 million credits worth.

On the route ahead he was to visit a number of DSSA carriers toward the Tenebrae. Upon the completion of ship hull repair he could depart immediately - but instead, he thought of taking another short rest here as the healed burnt skin still ached a little. Especially his left thigh was giving him a small pain consistently.

CMDR Godthab out.
