I still hardly can believe it actually happened:
And to make things even more weird the Future of LHS 3447 requested me to register my ship in Erevate at McMahon Dock with the Independent Erevate Free. They were willing to pay met CR 10.000 for just doing that
. In Erevate the Independent Erevate Free official paid the promised fee, with the obligatory "welcome to your new ship" speach, but I think that a pilot of my age registering as a starter is not a common sight given the looks I got. I don't know if I'm still listed in the databases, but I think I'd better not take the chance. Better to do that when returning with some money to grease the cogs of the bureaucratic machine 
I'll head to Colonia. I think they will not bother with searching the LHS 3447 databases, so I can make myself a new start there. And besides that, not having been to Colonia was the late CMDR Jermus' only regret. I think that going to Colonia is a nice way to make that up to him, serving also as a kind of "thank you" note, as I won't be able to thank him in person.
I returned to LHS 3447 for one last time to buy myself a Galactic Travel Guide (I think I'll need one to orient myself a little on the area beyond the LHS 3447 region). I also bought some upgrades to my ship: a fuel scoop and some better / lighter equipment. There is something wrong with the ship though: flight assist won't come on, despite all diagnostic modules telling me the function should be OK..
