Journey to Sag A

DAY 1A commander's role these days takes many forms. Too often the harshness of life in space starts to get in on you.
Over a few drinks one night at the bar on my fleet carrier, I joked about going 'walk about' and heading out into the black.
After a good chuckle and another beer I set that crazy idea aside and started planning my cargo runs for the following day. However that little seed of a thought did not want to be forgotten.
Here I am a month later, 1000 light years from the 'Bubble' heading to SagA, 'for a look'.
Perhaps I am crazy, but I think I need it. Our faction is involved in endless conflicts. And if not those, election campaigns and cargo hauling.
There has to be more to our existance. If I am lucky I will find something out here that resets a balance in my mind, something to purge the everyday and replace it with a little wonder and awe of the universe.
According to my navigation computer I have made 26 hyperspace jumps and over 1,500 light years today. The routine is new and I haven't gotten used to it yet.
I don't have any system charts for these systems so I have to scan them all to fix my position and chart the optimal point for the next jump.
Many of them contain little of interest but there are a few rubies in the rough so to speak.
One of particular interest is Blu Thua CF-A c26. This system contain a number of planets rich in flora and basic life forms.
