The Adventure Begins

Yesterday was exciting and boring at the same time. I know, how can that be? Well at 1600 GST we started the journey to Colonia on the (EXO)-Archangel fleet carrier. Getting to finally get on the road was a great feeling. But routine quickly settled in as most of the work on the ship came to a stop as we were in the jump cycles. We had the ship locked down but still had access to main corridors and of course the chow halls and the eateries were open. We jumped until 0700 GST the next morning. We were only two jumps from Colonia. We had confirmed our parking space in the system and spend the rest of the night doing checks on the carrier. She performed flawlessly and needed nothing other than routine jump maintenance and fuel. So off to bed I finally went.
When I woke up Capt Shelton was already on the bridge and the carrier was about to jump again. It made the fist jump and I made my way down to my hangar to saddle up in my Krait Phantom. Once the carrier settled and prepared for it's next jump. I loaded Jean up and we were off to Colonia. We would beat the carrier there by about 5 minutes. But I wanted to see Jacques station for myself.
We jumped in system and stopped at the nav beacon. once we had the system information we were off to Jacques to see it up close and personal.
After a short stop and tour, we were off to Start our new project. A super long range Fuel rescue ship, an Anaconda that we spec'd out yesterday in our boredom. This thing should jump further than any other ship I own besides the carrier.
It's going to take some razors edge engineering and modules that will barely work on the huge ship. But she will be able to reach out and help someone when all hope is lost. So it's worth the work. It's worth the money and the time. So we buy the slightly up charged ship (having purchased most of my ships at Jameson with it's discount) it's a hard pill to swallow when paying a premium. But this is 22,000ly from where they are built so I can understand it.
We spent the rest of the day our working on getting the right components in her and now we have to start working with the local engineers. It is starting off as a nice stay in this new human region of space. The sky is so much brighter, the mood is more optimistic and the people are nicer out here. I could get used to this.
