Discovery!

I'm still on the outbound leg of my Exploration flight. I aimed for the Omega Nebula, with the idea of exploring it for a bit, then heading out to Eagle to a bright group of stars clustered there. However, on my way to Omega, I encounter a strange formation of stars that I started manually jumping toward. Turned out, they were about 1500 light years away, and together form a cluster of several hundred objects, including dozens of black holes and neutron stars.
Jackpot.
I'm sure this has been discovered and all scanned before, so there won't be any first discovery bonus stuff, but the excitement of spotting such a phenomena, and then manually closing on it was very, very satisfying. We'll see how the scans develop, and what time it adds to my trip.
