Managed to get a meeting with Olmanova right before noon. Like all of them, she wants something for her services. A "newcomer fee", as she put it. Progenitor cells. Hah, the so-called "Elixir of Life", except it's all just science. Not going to lie, I'd probably want some myself soon enough. Replacing old cells with new cells to greatly extend one's lifespan, what's not to like? Have to keep myself in my prime if I'm going to continue with my line of work. Li Yong-Rui has been slurping them up for over a century now and still looks younger than me.
Question is, where am I to get them? I know some systems and cultures have outlawed the progenitor cells, based on being "immoral". I need to check if these things are even legal in Colonia, cus if they're not... well, a common source-and-collect mission might turn into a smuggling mission, and I'd need the right precautions for that. What's more, I'd have to make multiple trips — Olmanova wants 200 tonnes of these cells! Seems like the crazy bitch actually wants to live til she's a thousand or something, or resell them at a profit.
Well, who am I to judge, right? Maybe science will thank her for discovering long-term side-effects.
