Well, it's been a minute.
I'm finally back home from my trip to Colonia, and my overall break from the Bubble as a whole. To be fair, I actually came back a few days ago, but I forgot all about this little log I've been doing. Believe it or not, not a lot of things happened between last I wrote and now.
I figured I was overdue a break from risking my life in various combat scenarios, and decided I'd try risking my life with various degrees of alcohol poisoning instead. Hell, I'm pretty sure I spent the entire first month in a blackout state barcrawling all over Jaques Station. After I grew tired of that I settled down somewhat over at The Brig in Luchtaine, working a bit more with Mel Brandon. He may be extremely good at what he does, and he probably wouldn't admit it himself, but I reckon it was a mutually beneficial experience.
In the end though, I decided it was time to get back to the Bubble. Right after I visited Sgr A*, of course. I couldn't come all the way out here and not visit the centre of the fucking universe, right? Didn't even take me that long, only a two-day trip at a fairly leisurely pace, though unlike my initial trip to Colonia, I didn't stop for sightseeing. Have to say, Sgr A* was an experience like no other. I hadn't actually ever visited a black hole before, so seeing the light warping the way it did was truly unique. I will definitely come back at some point.
That's about it, I suppose. After Sgr A*, I beelined straight back to the Bubble. I took the so-called "Neutron Highway" home. Damn near fried my FSD multiple times, had to perform maintenance every 10 jumps or so, but I covered more distance in a day than ever before. In fact, it took me a mere day to go from the centre of the universe right home to my fleet in Ray Gateway. 26 thousand light years. Hell, 28 thousand if one accounts for the fact that it wasn't a straight line. In one day. Didn't think I could do it, but here we are.
Next time I'm going into the black, though, I'll be taking my entire fleet with me on a fleet carrier of my own, complete with my own crew. Those aren't cheap, so I suppose I better get to work.
Comrey out.
