Having purchased a number of new ships at Jameson Memorial, I transferred them to Greeboski's Outpost. The first ship to take out to the pirate activity areas is the Talon, an Eagle-class fighter.While moving to the resource extraction site, I was interdicted by an Imperial Courier. The pirate scanned the ship, but couldn't find anything of value. Before authorities could back me up, the ship jumped away.
There were no pirates at the first site I visited, so I moved on. The second site was also clear. As was the third. I was about to leave the fourth when the local security Python declared an emergency. I raced to support the SJC ship, engaging a Cobra IV. We dispatched the ship quickly. Then, another distress call alerted me to a Diamondback Explorer attempting to raid a mining ship. I destroyed that one, and a Cobra Mk III. The Talon proved effective, manoeuvrable and reliable. However, the powerplant was underwhelming.
