It appears the SJC needs support in the Kausha system - pirates have launched attacks and our influence has dropped. I moved to Narlikar Port to offer my assistance. I was asked to investigate the last known position of a ship.On dropping into the area, I detected only debris, confirming that the vessel I was searching for had been destroyed. I scanned the vessel, hoping to find its black box, which may be able to shed light on how and who destroyed the ship.
Once I found it, I deployed my fighter and a few collectors to retrieve the debris. It was a trap, though.
A Cobra Mk III, an Eagle Mk II and a Sidewinder immediately pounced on me. But the Artemis held her own. I dealt with the Cobra first, swatting it aside. The Eagle tangled with my Condor and had her shields dropped by the time I brought my multi-cannons to bear, ripping through her hull.
The Sidewinder saw the ambush had failed. It popped a heatsink, engaged silent running and managed to escape. Courtney and I gathered up the remaining valuables and headed back to Narlikar Port.
