Unfortunately, despite managing to evade the pirates over Farseer Inc., Felicity had little to offer me and the Talon. Therefore, I'm packing up and heading to Jameson Memorial. Maybe I can find a way to get the Talon in fighting shape without engineering, at least for now.I decided to test out the Talon's weapons none the less. I dropped into a dogfight between the Deicat Green Party and the Windri & Co. Unfortunately for me, the fighting didn't really pan out. I engaged a Cobra Mk III, but the rail gun was difficult to target effectively. I did manage to drop the ship's shields, but became the target of a Chieftan.
I decided to run, pulling in the hardpoints and firing up the FSD. By the time I'd gotten away, I'd lost my shields and taken several hits. I dropped out a bit, powered down and ran a systems check. Everything was in working order, but some systems were damaged. I made my way back t Garay Terminal, broadcast a warning and then docked for repairs. I also decided to upgrade the Talon's sensor systems to a 2A. I didn't want to be caught unawares again. After a quick power distribution reshuffle, I was good to go.
I decided to take the scenic route to Jameson, and set my nav computer to make economical jumps rather than fast ones. This heavily reduced my fuel consumption but did double my number of jumps. After a slightly longer, yet uneventful journey, I arrived at the Shinrarta Dezhra system.
