Commander Adrella//Greeboski's Outpost//3305-12-17 - An extended stay
17 Dec 2019Adrella
I've been on Greeboski's a lot longer than expected. I had planned on heading out on a few rescue missions, but instead, ended up doing a full overhaul of the Nightingale's systems. Several terminals had been displaying the wrong or corrupted data, so I wiped the OS and reset it. I also installed some of the new upgraded monitors, making sure they were more responsive. This overhaul has kept me in the hanger, as I didn't think it wise taking a vessel out into space when it was undergoing diagnostics. A combat reboot is one thing, but completely wiping the system is a whole different level. Even with this upgrade, I haven't had the chance to install a new flight stick. I'm wondering whether I stay grounded until I've managed to get something a bit more up to spec, but where's the fun in that?
Once I've taken the Nightingale out for a few missions, I think it will finally be time to pick up the Endeavour and head out into the unknown. I'm considering heading to the edge of the bubble, then plotting short jumps 'down' and heading off from there. Again, the question is, do I get the new control column first, or just leave that as future-Adrella's problem...
