Commander Adrella//Nightingale//3305-12-17 - Distress calls
17 Dec 2019Adrella
I arrived in Kipgeninka and immediately picked up a distress signal. I moved to investigate, finding a sensor echo. I found Richard Thomas Harrison of SJC. He was piloting the Rare Delight, an Asp Explorer. He'd run out of fuel, so I sent out a limpet for him. Once he was refueled, we both jumped out.I then picked up weapons fire, so moved to check it out. I found two Anacondas and an Asp trying to muscle out a Type-9 freighter. I engaged and destroyed all three ships, saving the Bounty and Ariel Celestia. On the way to check out some High Grade Emissions, I was interdicted by an Alliance Challenger. I submitted, engaged and destroyed the vessel.
At the High Grade Emissions location, I found proto heat radiators, but nothing else. I checked out a few more signals, picking up abandoned cargo and debris from several ships. On my way to Oberth Landing, a Federal Drop Ship interdicted me. Again, I submitted and turned my guns on the pirate, ripping their ship apart.
It turned out some of the cargo I had collected was illegal in the Kipgeninka system, so I decided to offload it. I've been surprised with the lack of distress calls, which I guess is a good thing. However, I did receive another one on re-entering Kipgeninka. After sorting the Odd Herald out with their dry tank and then Andrew Douse in his Hauler, who was also out of fuel, i decided to call it a day and headed for the nearest station that would support the Nightingale.
