Commander Adrella//Nightingale//3305-12-23 - Adrift

It's been a long 6 days, and in that time, I've used many, many ancient deities names in vain. Shiva, Jehova, Allah, Ra, Odin, Zues, Juno, Jesus...none of them escaped my fury.Simply put, it turns out my reinstall and upgrade of the Nightingale's OS systems didn't go as smoothly as I thought. Just as I was about to plot a course to the nearest planet in Kipgeninka, all but my emergency systems gave out. I was stranded on the edge of the system, millions of kilometres from the nearest ship, which even if they were looking for me wouldn't have picked me up.
With the powerplant down, my heat signature was non-existant, my comm system was down, the OS corrupted. Even limpet control was down. Luckily, the damage to the operating system didn't effect life support or the manoeuvring thrusters. I set the Nightingale into a slow loop to simulate gravity and got to work on the repairs.
It took 3 days to bypass the command routines to the powerplant and bring it back online. Once I had power, I booted up the computer systems and had to do a full purge of the coding. Once I'd stripped it back to basics, I had to interface the Condor's control systems and ghost the OS to the Nightingale. This took another 2 days. Running the system of a fighter on an Anaconda isn't stable, so once I had the nav computer up, I plotted a course for the nearest base. Once on the ground, which was shaky in itself, I got the techs to rip out the whole system and build it from scratch.
Hopefully, the new systems should hold up, but we'll have to see.
