After an extended period out of the cockpit, I finally boarded a transport and headed back to Geston Port in PSPF-LF 2. The Artemis had been undergoing a deep clean and overall maintenance service, but that had been completed a month or so ago.I'd headed back to Earth for an extended vacation but was possibly away a bit too long. Upon getting back into the Artemis, I noticed that the techs had completely reset the control setup and purged the backups during the maintenance overhaul. I had to spend the next hour getting everything tuned back in.
Once I'd gotten the controls back to normal, I punched up a course to Pu City. I wanted to inspect the fleet, considering it had essentially been in mothballs for the last four months. After seeing that the Pu City boys had done a far better job of keeping the Adrella Armada in good condition, I vowed not to look outside of SJC space for maintenance crews. With the Artemis dialled back in and safe in the knowledge the fleet was secure, I decided it was time for the Artemis' shakedown cruise.
I plotted a course to Phiarge IV and headed to the HazMat zone. As soon as I dropped out of supercruise, I powered up the weapons systems. Immediately, my sensors crashed and the beam weapons crapped out. I looked at the power priorities and saw the Geston techs had reset the damn things there as well.
I redistributed the power, and once up and running again, I started looking for those preying on the weak. Several Fed Gunships and an Anaconda later, I decided to call it a day. I flew into Greebowski's, docked up and headed to the bounties office, cashing in the several million credits worth of bounties that had been piling up.
