Commander Adrella//SJCS Magellan//3307-08-16 - A change of pace

It's been a couple of weeks now since I decided to head off into the black and start a proper exploration towards Sagittarius A*. I've discovered plants, planets and systems no one has ever seen before, and I haven't even really left the bubble yet. I'm only 2,300 Ly away from Afli system. And I'm bored. I'm not sure I want to make the 120-odd jumps to get near to Sag A. It's a long distance to cover for what could be very little gain. I've done extensive surveys of a number of system, and it's not particularly fun. And considering the fact the Federation is getting closer and closer to a civil war, where they're fighting for their individual rights...I wonder whether I'm in the right place. I might try and speed up the process, attempt several neutron jumps, get to Sag A and then head home.
I'll do the occasional scan and grab data for the valuable worlds, but the full system surveys are over. I can't be bothered putting that much effort into it right now.
