CMDR Adrella//SJCS Vulcan//3310-12-25 - Unwrapping some asteroids

The SJCS Vulcan, named after the armourer of the gods, was almost ready to begin her mission of cracking some asteroids.I haven't done any core mining in years, but figured it was something the Vulcan might exceed at. The manoeuvrability and size would like play into its favour. Also, only having 60-odd tonnes of space would mean I don't spend long out in the black. I remember enjoying core mining up to a point. A small hold means I'm less likely to reach the point of hating it.
Before I took it out properly, though, I needed to get it ready. I'd done some of my preparations, but there was a little left to do. Step one was visiting The Dweller over in Wyrd. On my way, I stopped and picked up some proto heat radiators, then traded them in at Whitson Hub over in Meliae. I then found another wreck with more radiators, so restocked.
After hitting the Dweller, I had the power distributor fully upgraded. I then decided to head to Martuuk's Long Sight Base to drop off some exploratory data. Once that was done, I decided to head out to get some mining done.
I headed out to a site I'd heard of at LHS 6427. Apparently Grandidierite is quite valuable at this time, and there are hotspots for this around the 6th planet of the secondary star.
After mining several cores, I managed to get a hold of 43 tonnes of Grandiderrite, 16 tonnes of LTDs and 1 tonne of Tritium. I plotted a course for LHS 1339, and headed to Bosch City.
I managed to sell the Tritium for 50,000, the LTDs for 5.6 million, and the Grandiderite for 43 million. So, shows the Vulcan will be good for mining, but it won't bring in a fortune. Still, was much nicer that flying a medium or large ship through the asteoids, like the Artemis or the Magellan.
