Terrorist Attack and My Hubris

I am a fool! I could have done something, anything! If only I had been faster or didn’t think I had more time. Yesterday I was performing some cargo runs for Empress Arissa from Kamadhenu. Whenever I dropped in at Shajn Market a Transmitter of some sort would momentarily flash on my sensors around 998km out. It moved away from the station faster than my ship could fly so I decided I would outfit a Viper MKIII tomorrow (today) and check it out. But then the terrorists attacked and the Transmitter is gone. Was it painting the station as a target? Was it watching to see when best to attack? Could I have stopped this monstrous act of cruelty?
I’ll never know. I am ashamed. Never again will I delay an investigation!
