Personal log. We've been doing some good. we've been providing supplies, transporting passengers. Doing what we can to help in the effort against the Thargoids. The state of things...they're so... Everything seems to be balancing on the edge of a knife. The Feds are so close to giving up democracy. The Imps are plagued with backstabbing and corruption and the Alliance...I want to be able to do more. I want to make an impact. More than simply flying around in space with a single ship and crew. I'm thinking of starting an NGO. Something other commanders can get in on. But that's something I'll need to work on in my spare time.
We've been on the move a lot lately. The Asclepius is an impressive ship and we can transport a lot of people when stations have been attacked. We have 80 beds. And with the crew, we're able to handle just about anything...at least until we get our patients to the rescue ships.
I feel like a fool though. We made a sixty jump trip to a station that didn't need us and back. Waste of time. I'm sure the crew didn't mind having the time off. But I feel we could have been more useful elsewhere.
I think it's time I expand my fleet. After rescuing survivors off the space stations they need pilots to bring supplies for repairs. I don't have any way of providing that service, but I want to. Maybe I'll purchase a cargo ship? We'll see.
