Today I found that a bug I noticed when I first got my sidewinder (after the Cobra joyride incident) is still in the on-board computer software. It's quite clear that the Pilot Federation can't be arsed to fix it and since they hold a monopoly over this piece of the market I doubt anything is going to change.
For some odd reason the computer only shows exclusion zones around collapsed objects when you don't need them.
I mean, you fly towards a, let's say, white dwarf and you quite clearly see an exclusion zone. However the moment you get closer and position yourself for a jet-scoop manoeuvre there is no indication at all!
And so I suddenly found myself being ejected from supercruise and being boiled.
I know there were problems when they tried to port the Apollo Landing Suite to modern hardware, but that was 110 years ago!
Does any member of the Pilots Federation top echelon actually fly? Or are these just all rubber desk johnnies? If so, let's organise and start the APF. The Actual Pilots Federation, for all those who know what it is to fly around with Death just 7mm of transparent aluminium away from you.

Wooooo! Princess ski-jump nose sent another suicide runner after me. The fellow thought he could have a Sidewinder with his Cobra.
A quick check what system you are in before you interdict can save you a lot of trouble.
