Logbook entry

Still flying in Console-space.

I hear a lot of commanders traded in their ship to go run around dirtbound. I feel sorry for them fallen angels. Why would you want to be a bottomdweller when you can fly? Why limit yourself to the surface of a ball when you can have infinity in every direction? Why? Because Azimuth Britain wants you to?

Anyway... I hear Thargoids are coming! Joy!
All these people who try and convince me to go out and kill them. Why? I lost more ships to inbreds in Fer-de-lances. I want to kill those! Unfortunately those dregs will be the last to try and engage a Thargoid. They only dare attack a limping sidewinder with 30% hull 7Mmeters away from a station...
No really. I have more problems with humans.
It was humans who tried to eradicate the Thargoids, twice. It was humans who encroached on their territories. It was humans who steal their meta-alloys and it's humans that are the most aggressive cancer in the spiral arms of the galaxy.

So... Finally the galaxy sent its lymphocytes.

Unfortunately, I have to say, Thargoids are not as smart as I thought they'd be.
If they were they'd have left humanity alone. The aggressive inbreds will start shooting their own eventually. They simply have to kill. You can claim to be intelligent, give your own species a very impressive name... but words are just words. They don't count as heavy as actions.

My thoughts are with the courageous heroes of the Kingfisher who at least tried to talk. They represent the best of the species. I left an engraved aluminium plate on a planet with a report of their heroic peace attempt. They will never be forgotten.
Do you like it?
