What are these Culture-tier weapons I hear of?

Whoa! I must be unaware of a tier of weapons. I flew to this little system that was in a state of war and decided to get involved. So I went and supported the imperial faction that had most happy followers and managed to turn the war to their advantage.
The system is so small that to reload ammunition you need to make a jump to a neigbouring system. I was always told to first plan supply lines before engaging. Oberon's strategists must be a cut above this bunch. Anyway...
I stick around and as soon as the war between the imperial faction ends two non-imperial factions start slugging it out over something.
I accept another mission to bring in 90 opponents ships. It'll take a while with having to reload and repair out-system, but hey... Time passes regardless of whether you use it or not.
I fly out of the station. I engage my supercruise... and I get a message.
If I manage to dispatch the 90 ships inside the span of 30 minutes I get a meagre bonus.
Please explain to me how I am to manage that feat short of firing a neutronium alchemist into the primary star or deploying gridfire in the sector? Neither of which I have access to.
Apparently there is a weapon tier that can do this. Otherwise why would this be asked of me? Surely people don't expect pilots to pull off supernatural feats, right?
I could use information from other commanders who have heard these weapons referred to directly or indirectly. I'm pretty sure an Einstein-convertor would make short work of anything, even Thargoid maalstroom events.
I'll go ask around.
First find the Thargoid Whisperer and get Salivation out of my plasma blaster. I don't dare fly around in that ship anymore. It feels haunted, dark, wrong.
