Logbook entry

A lofty goal.

I was happily zooming around in the Colonia area and listening GalNet when I learned that some kids would not get any presents because of something or other.

It is not in my nature to ignore the innocent when they need help, and on top of that the Thargoid farm has finally been farmed out so I got back aboard the Lady Bell and a few hours later I was in Lao Zi.
There I had the Merry wanderer shipped over so I could land on Frost Dock in Njambalba and ask Sandra what was up and if she needed any help. I had to strip the passenger cabins that were still fitted to do some evac-runs last time I was in the bubble.

Sure enough I got a list of letters with no clear name of the system or station.
I got a load of presents to deliver and I set out.

Finding them wasn't very hard.
There was one with nine possible stations, though that was the easiest to find. That letter actually explicitly stated the system name in French.
Why would people named Lee gravitate to stations with the same name?
Is a body orbiting a planet a planet? (I'd call it a moon).

Oddly I only got interdicted in systems that had a recipient for the presents in them. Someone must have hacked Sandra's messaging service and decided to get all the presents this year.
Alas. Greed got them hot metal and vacuum, served by an innocent-looking Pastel Python that wasn't completely declawed.
*nyaaa nyaaa*

Every time I delivered a package at the right station I'd get a message with thanks and a reward. Great! I now have three festive flakkers in red, yellow and green! Nine in total. Yay! Good thing too because the seasonal Arx-gifts seem to be missing this year. Or maybe I've just been too much of a pest to earn a free Manta Ray.

Anyway! I had a lot of fun zooming through the bubble but am now back in Lao Zi and trying to decide if I'm going back to Colonia or am curious enough to go see the sad remains of once-proud megaflowers. I'll miss their song.
I wonder if "Speaker fort the Dead" fits as a ship name. (It does. The Thiamethoxam is now named so).

To all commanders who hold on to the significance of the date Cradle goes through an arbitrary point on its orbit around Sol, Happy Holidays!
To all the rest, have a good one!
Who knows we touch hull somewhere sometime.
Do you like it?
