I'm Making a Note Here, HUGE SUCCESS

So, a couple of fun things. I've just traveled over 1000 LY using a neutron highway that I don't think anybody else has found. It carried me from the Elysian Shore into the Sanguineous Rim, and none of the neutron stars I used had been tagged. I'm not sure how far it goes. I hopped off to refuel, and that's where the second fun thing happened. My find, let me show you it:Yep. Found an untagged Earthlike. Isn't it a beauty? I didn't pick up any radio signals and couldn't tell if there's anything living down there (aside from vegetation). But if there is, they might have looked up and seen me. I wonder what they thought....
But I have a dilemma. I parked on another planet in the system, and started getting a weird jumpy scrambled signal on my radar. It seems really unlikely that another ship would be in the system at the same time, but it seems possible, and that means... am I in a race to get this find back to civilization? Should I run for the Bubble? Or should I keep going, figuring (a) I'm imagining the whole thing; (b) I'm not imagining it, but the other commander is on a deep explore just like I am and won't necessarily zip straight back to turn in the data; or (c) if I lose the race because I'm still finding other stuff to scan, I'm still OK.
I think I'll probably keep on the way I've been going. There's supposedly a deep space station about 2300 LY from me, and if this neutron highway keeps up, it won't take me too long to get there. Maybe I'll get there before Other Pilot gets to a place they can sell the data.
I've never had an arch-nemesis before. This is kind of cool.
