More Than I Thought

I've now scanned and, where appropriate, mapped 162 of the d mass class systems in this block. Current count stands at:

- 11 terraformable water worlds
- 13 non-terraformable water worlds
- 54 terraformable high metal content bodies
- 12 terraformable rocky bodies
- 6 ammonia worlds
- still no earthlike worlds

This may just not be a good region for earthlikes, but it will be a hell of a region for expansion once we can terraform all these planets. Yes, it will take a while, but that's 83 new potential habitable planets.

But I discovered, thanks to galactic map plotting, that there are as many as 277 d-class systems in this block. I hit d5-277 today on my way between two consecutive numbered systems that were a bit too far apart for one jump. So I'm a bit shy of halfway done.

Stopped for the night on the metal-rich moon of a metal-rich planet. This tiny little chunk of metal has a couple dozen geo signals. I've picked up a bit of tellurium and mercury, as well as molybdenum, but my chromium and manganese stores are full, and that's what there is most of here.

Excelsior! (But tomorrow. Tonight, I'm tired.)
Do you like it?
