Nova Imperium Returns?

Cayce sat in a Conflict Zone, pulling his fighter aboard after sending the empire home with yet another damaged capital ship. The Anaconda had a few scratches to her paint from an Imperial Eagle that scraped her hull when the shields broke near the end of the battle, but otherwise she was perfectly fine. As Shyanne dragged in her GU-97 fighter, the other, a Condor, sat waiting for its turn to dock. This time around, the Anaconda flew with another Squadron mate in tow; his Second-in-Command, Phoenix. The two pilots chatted idly while Cayce flitted through Galnet yet again since there was time. The latest article again crossed his feed, and he clicked on the link and gave a glance through. As he read, a small smile crept along his lips and he started to quietly chuckle. Phoenix, who was just putting her Condor back on the loading ramp for the fighter bay, removed her helmet after her telepresence cut and she glanced over to her squadron commander with raised eyebrows. "Something good in the comics section, over there?"
"Nah, better. Take a look for yourself." Cayce transferred the GalNet article to Phoenix's console and sat back, getting the ship ready to depart the site in order to return to Wolf Port.
Phoenix glanced at Cayce, then turned to the article and read through it, and eyebrow raising and a sigh of relief following. "Finally! Someone else in the Empire seeing sense."
"Yeah. Looks like Hadrian's willing to bring Nova Imperium into the Empire."
"Oh Arissa's just going to love that." The air of sarcasm in Phoenix's voice was apparent, it was no mystery how the Empire felt about Nova Imperium.
"Hadrian has Aisling's backing. Even Arissa would be a fool to turn down help. Though...she probably won't like being called out on this Witch Hunt."
"Not likely." Phoenix shook her head. Like Cayce, she was very much in Aisling's camp, though unlike him she fights on behalf of Aisling in many Power Play activities. "She'll probably have a small crisis over this."
"I certainly hope so." Cayce chuckles. Having set a course for Wolf Port, he cranks the Luther's Folly around and aimed the nose towards the station, kicking on the FSD and letting the drive spool. "Nothing makes me happier than seeing Arissa squirm. Well, okay maybe not 'nothing.'
"I'm sure."
"Yeah. Good news all around, and it looks like this fighting will wrap up soon. Let's head back and celebrate."
"I'm down."
"Alright; first round's on me." Cayce bumped the throttle up and hit the boosters. After the ship hits full throttle, the countdown began and the Anaconda leapt into Supercruise, heading for the station.
