Well Commander, this letter will arrive a bit late to you due to the travel time but you'll be proud of me.Since I joined the squadron, I decided to undertake a career of deep space exploration. On my first run out into deep space, I flew an odd course starting in the Bubble to the Flaming Star nebula where I turned right towards Trifid of the North Sector. From there I hit the Jelly Fish nebula, Monkey Head Nebula and got out to the Crab Nebula Pulsar before returning home to the bubble.
I was hooked !
I kept going out into deep space, yet not as far, looking for new systems and planets and bringing back this new data for our Allies at BlueStar PMC and Aces Wild to help boost their influence.
I did that a few times and while it was very enjoyable, I then heard about this expedition that was going clear to the other side of the galaxy and back. I got excited about all the new things I could find out there but also a bit nervous, second guessing to leave all my friends and allies behind. I felt responsible to them as they got used to me bringing back important data of deep space.
Thanks to some convincing from CMDR Shaman_GW, I signed up for Odyssey Galactic Expedition 3307.
You won’t believe the amount of planning that went into this expedition.....So many carriers and I have seen so many ships, all of different types, getting on board these carriers. It is just unreal ! I've seen Diamond Back Explorers, Asp X's, Pythons, Type 9s, and Kraits. There was also the odd ship or two, which exact model’s I must have missed with so many coming and going.
The plan is for the whole expedition to leave the bubble and head out to Sag A. After that, all the way out to Beagle Point and from there we will be returning to the bubble in a somewhat scenic route around the galaxy. I was told the whole trip will take about 6 months. Let CMDR Neko and Karellan know that when I get back, I will have a full collection of stories and photos to share with everyone.
