DIARY OF CADET ALAN A. RICHARDSON 0010

Here we go again!

The Titan Contractors have begun one of their trips. This means lots of work, but it also means we're back in business. The Carrier hasn't done much in a month, so it needed a good trip to work the dust out of its systems. And guess whose job that is? Yes that it. Despite having the owner of the whole carrier at my family home at Christmas, you would have thought they would give me some nice little job somewhere. No. I think the captain wants to make sure he isn't playing favourites. Instead I'm currently inside engine 3, with a mop and bucket cleaning up vomit. Yes vomit. Inside an Engine. God knows how it got there. I expect one of the visiting commanders was exploring and maybe had a bit too much to drink. It does smell vaguely of old beer.

The carrier jumped to its first port of call, which was Mitterand Hollow. Fortunately, we jumped into orbit so there was no need for the commanders to try and chase the moon down. It still amazes me how fast that moon spins around its parent planet. I'll get to visit in a few hours, after all the commanders have had their fill. Some even decided to visit the nearby stations and systems. I can't wait to hear their stories of trying to get back to the carrier. I may have to use my newly acquired commanders ID to visit the commanders mess room and catch up on the gossip.
