Having heard from a recent CMDR who received their Elite trade promotion that he smuggled thousands of tons of illegal goods in an anaconda I decided I would give the crazy endeavor a shot. The Flying Tiger Circle already runs pretty coolly at at a mere 25% temperate reading with all systems online.
Prior to reaching my destination while in supercruise, I decided to shutdown all my shield boosters, life support, weapons and docking computer to see my temperature actually reach under 20%
I had to make sure I wasn't going mad when I jumped out of supercruise and also turned off both sensors (after requesting docking permission that is) as well as the FSD to see my temperatures actually hit 17%.
The patrolling security didn't even bat an eye at me.
31 more smuggling runs later and here I am more than 60 million credits richer today. It might only be a mere 9 million credits more than what I am already making legally but that's 9 extra million credits a day I now have for some illicit runs.
Today is the end of my 6th day rushing from Tycoon towards my own Elite promotion and already I sit at over 40% ever closer it does seem indeed I will be able to receive my promotion in under 2 weeks.
