The Cloudburst Incident.

**BEGIN LOG**This is Lieutenant Reyes of the FNS Cloudburst.
The past few days have been quite weird to say the least, from a thargoid encounter, to a unwanted experience with the Empire, I don’t know where to start, and I'm only doing this because my therapy doctor told me to.
It seemed as a normal jump into with space, the usual weary sounds and roughly thirty seconds later, we're in system, but this time was different, I don’t know what happened, but something just didn’t seem right. Once we arrived in system, everything was fine, until private Ulysses found some sort of residue, it seemed normal, as maintenance crews didn’t arrive until next week, but it was emitting some kind of signal that we picked up on scanners.
The next minute, we all hear Donovan over comms saying that we need to head to emergency safe rooms, and for all military personnel to get into their fighters and prepare for hostile engagement. Next thing we hear is a blaring scream, it wasn’t human, but it didn’t sound in pain or anything, it was talking. Immediately after hearing that, my CO got on communication with this sectors rear command. He said code Oscar Bravo Zeta, the command connected him to the Admiral of the federal navy in that sector. Once connection was established, my CO requested a Farragut to our location, the Admiral was hessetant, but the CO said that the thargoids are back, immediately the Admiral sent in the FNS Vengeance, and a dozen corvettes. I finally was able to look out an reinforced window, and what I saw was the most terrifying thing in my life. It must have been 100 thargoid ships, from interdictor to cyclops. The fleet finally arrived, the thargoid ships began engaging our carrier, with effective precision, they neutralized the FSD, our Main Reactor, And Our Industrial Power Distributor, essentially we were stuck. Each corvette began deploying three F63 Condors each, all specialized with guardian technology. The FNS Vengeance arrived behind the rest of the fleet. A battle was coming.
