The Truth

-Tap Tap Tap Tap Tap-The monotone rhythm of his boots calmed him. Sprinting through the enemy base gave him a rush, his rifle ready to be fired at all times, he made his way to the control centre.
The angel had gone. Two weeks ago he had a seizure, fell down in the office and woke up a few days later. The angel had been with him all the time, but different. The minute before he woke up was the longest of his life. He saw the angel stand with him, beside him until she started to take steps back, the hands reaching for him, just before vanishing forever.
Niatra woke up in tears and sweat, unable to cope with his being at that time. It tooks him days to fully recover and it was only possible because of the imperial training. Day after day, hour after hour, every minute he did not spend sleeping or eating he was getting used to close combat again. Firing weapons, fist fighting, dancing around with daggers. It helped him to get a grasp on reality again.
And two days ago he was ready again. He had found his old being, stronger than before, ready for contracts. He hadn’t seen a single paladin since weeks and had only been fighting in the third Galaxy’s PvP League. It gave him a rush to be in combat again, exactly like it did being fired on, as right now.
Niatra stomped in the door of the command room, it was an old wooden door, and he swiftly eliminated both guards. Finally he stood eye to eye with his enemy. The one thing that haunted him since ages. Niatra dropped the rifle and slid the pistol out of the sheath. The barrel pinned under the chin, his target slammed against the wall, wincing from the force that impacted on it. With his free hand Niatra pulled the hood of her, staring into her blue eyes.
Finally we meet…
