70 Virginis Proxy War 3

Day 4: We pushed hard, harder than ever before, trying to submit the ever growing enemy forces. Some of us even went to some extremes, stepping beyond the boundaries of the law. All in the name of one.. last.. chance.. for victory.
I was one of those joining the dark side. I am not proud of myself. I was fighting for the "greater good", or I at least thought so.
So many battles start and end under this credo. A hero for ones and a criminal for the others...
But the screams... they haunt me at night. Countless lifes lost.
If they were our actual enemy, maybe, that would not have been such an issue.
The truth is, we couldn't stop the invaders as fast as we needed to... Damn Terans!
So the high command decided to split the forces:
While most kept doing missions and cargo shipments to support the whole operation, some with the stronger guts and heftier wallets went on a massacre run.
We had to destroy another non-native faction and hope we can catch up to our enemies. Once we get in there, we can directly enforce our vengeance.
Our new target was "Union of Feuma Resistance". They had a ground station in 70 Virginis called "Converse Horizons".
It was the perfect target because the faction already had a very low influence in the system. Also with its own security force around the base, it was it was easy to bring their numbers down fast.
And that's what we needed the most right now.
So me and Vic camped the place out, destroying any Feuma or Teran ships we noticed going in or out.
Of course we spared any other faction ship not jumbled in this mess.
Still, this was considered a criminal act as most ships were clean traders or just the local police trying to suppress us.
To no avail the station security kept sending ship after ship against us, only to become a pile of dead metal and burning fluids.
Shield emitters scratching across my windshield as I ram into their lifeless carcasses.
After all my engineered Krait MK2 was way more superior to their stock VIpers.
To make matter worse for them, we've got a class 6D fighter hangar on board with a plasma Taipan and a newly acquired guardian Trident.
Sometimes I wonder... how is she taking all of this? She's not really the talkative type.
