I will not make that same mistake, but rather, to make them learn their mistake." - Storf "Starfire" Von KriegerStarfireIX is a former leader and ace of the Imperial Navy. They were well-respected by the Empire, proving to be highly valuable for their coordination in combat and science divisions. Since the death of Salome and the looming threat of the inevitable thargoid war, Starfire had concerns with the questionable decisions made by Imperial Command. These decisions in particular were supporting the death of Salome, as well as unorthodox methods of stealth that were frowned upon by the Pilot's Federation. This stealth technology was slowly becoming prominent in the Empire, slowly spreading to Starfire's home faction "Lavigny's Legion". It was not long until Starfire protested against the unconventional methods, eventually leading the faction and the Empire branding them as a "traitor" and "holding their faction hostage". As a result, they vanished into the void, never seen ever again as the Thargoid war tears into humanity.
On Dec 3, 3310, almost half a decade later; CMDR StarfireIX was seen again in the bubble, but this time with Federal markings. Imperial intelligence had intercepted an encrypted message log from the returning commander, appearing to be in old imperial encryption:
"Dear Beloved Ɇ₥₱łⱤɆ,
I regret to inform you that I have returned to put an end to your childish games. I knew you would be reading this encrypted message, especially since you are so ēⱥꞡēɍ to see what I am doing. Unfortunately, you do not have that privilage anymore, ░Ｈ░ ░Ａ░ ! So, it's time to change things up a bit! But I knew you would incorporate your silly and pathetic 'stealth' technology into your navy, but little will it do to your reputation with the Pilot's Federation as you have tarnished it for eternity! Nevertheless, I no longer care about your 'games'. Though just a word of caution when you run into me..
