Entry 01 - Navigation to Maia, and my return in space after 3 years.

- Forgot to remove my Logbook from my old ship now sold and factory reseted
- Looking to meet Mme Farseer to boost my FSD Range
- Navigated to Maia for Meta-Alloy
- Found Palin's base and went to scavenge some raw material around.
- Found an Escape Pod with a person alive.

Life, sometimes, get in the way for better adventures. Two years ago, we decided to buy our own flat in Frey - Garratt Station. It was in poor conditions, but the basics were there: no rust, one window with a nice 360 view, kitchen was functional and one of the bedroom didn't need so much renovations. It was possible to live there from day one, we called it the "Nest". Few days after, a beautiful news came out, my wife was pregnant. I've decided to put my one man company on the side to take care of them and the nest, found a little job in the station as software developer. Not fancy but the pay was correct and I wasn't LY away from them. A friend let me park my two ships (a DBX and my brand new ASPX that I hadn't time to prepare for flight) in a corner of his large parking slot.
That's where I've found them, two weeks ago, with a lot of dust and metallic particles on top. I hope the engines will start.
The AspX went ok, no problems at all with this one. The DiamondBack X coughed a bit but with some cleaning of the tubing it went great. I've taken a little ride with it to remember the old days before selling it. I needed some cash to kit out the AspX for the new mining rush. So Bye Bye old friend.
And.... I've forgotten to upload the logbook to the new AspX. I thought it was done automagically when you register your Commander License to a ship. The ship was erased and sold to a new commander. I guess that's for the best. My old moto "Don't tell me what's in my Cargo. Just tell me how I should handle it through the mail slot." is not in my values anymore.

I've then mined a bit those big rock for some Painite thanks to a good map system our community built up. In no time I was able to buy two other ships. A Python and an Alliance Chieftain. I really like the Chieftain, a bit like flying halfway with flight assist of. I've make some runs to help our Station Representatives to secure the mining fields of those Pirates. We need those rocks to keep the economy booming.
The biggest problems with those two new ships are their jumping range. With 15LY loaded, it's a pain to navigate in the galaxy. I've received in my mail someone named Farseer that can help me on this. I went to "The ballster", the local pub (yeah the owner have an humor a bit on the side), to gather more information. Apparently, a lot of Commanders, received this message for the last 3 years and it's no fluke. They are pretty happy with their boosts even if it costs a lot to satisfy this Engineer. She needs some meta-alloy as an exchange for his services. I need to buy one ton at a far planetary outpost 400LY away in Maia system. This material is expensive as hell at around 200k but I've some money left from my mining from last week.
I've kitted the AspX for planetary exploration and went on the moons in our Frey System to train myself. It went smoothly even if the landing was a bit... let's say rough... I'm lucky to not have damaged the landing gear... Gathered some materials around in the Buggy, jumped around happily and broke one of the wheels. Back to the ship and the station. I have to be more cautious with the material. I don't have that much time to repair everything and once away from the bubble it can get dangerous.
Now is my time to go to Maia, I've reassured my wife that nothing dangerous is up there. Probably better to not talk to her about those Thargoids. We are not used to see them often were we live. No need to worry her more than necessary. A 400LY is already enough.
On my flight, I've seen a white dwarf, reading the cmdr knowledge base I've learned that we can boost the FSD for bigger jumps. Not really needed but let's have some fun.

I've thrown up on my dash... Damn that shaked hard... I've aimed for the end of the "pulse" and everything started to turn. While doing my thing... I've heard a message of the ship saying that the FSD have been charged. I need to get better at this. I don't like cleaning all those tiny buttons...
The remaining flight was great, aside from the smell, and went for a planetary outpost in Maia - Darnielle's progress and bought the meta alloy. While there, I've checked what can be found around and found a good manganese planet. I will need this for later so I went surface prospecting. On my way, I've seen an another outpost. Palin's one. This name rings a bell but can't remember where I've heard this name. I've landed there but nothing, not even a refuel service, meh. At least the surface prospecting around was great.
Not for everyone I guess, I've found a crashed ship with the escape pod barely scrached. This commander will come back to the bubble with me. I'm not a doctor and we have a good one in Garratt.
Time to get back to the bubble now. I still need to scan some wake exceptions. Will not be a fun part...
