So the run out to Soontill to hunt for relics turned out to be a bit of a disappointment -- you would think something rumored to be from there would at least have ruins you could drive around in. Surprisingly, the planetary maps I brought back were registered as a discovery. I'll take the bonus, but I doubt I was the first one to go through with mapping the system.

I did get another Discovery tag though. Netted me a moderate bonus for the scans I made on the way out and back. Ended with a million five after I handed it to the Survey people. Not bad for a 5 system run.

That's my joke to me.

Originally I plotted out a run that took 51 jumps; ended up being 52. Short jump setting when I made the initial plot as a way to find out what might happen on a much longer run with fewer stars but a lot more distance. Learning to look for refuel opportunities; understanding what makes a planet worth looking over. I was also able to get some experience with the repair limpets and the AFMU. Very useful toys those.

In all, it's a pretty good gain from the ridiculously long, short run. I'm more comfortable using most of the hardware on Cleo for Exploration as well as survival.

Now I have to go find someone willing to sell me Soontill Relics so I can connect with an Engineer I received an invitation from. Still say, if you going to be naming something after a system, you should be able to find something interesting to look at when you get there -- okay, there was one thing, but...

And so...

Undock Cleo.
