Back on the route

My run to Deciat to reconnect with Farseer, which I am doing surveys of systems and select planets on the route to make a good impression when I arrive, is not going so well. First, there was that incident at that military station where I was expecting to be greeted as a friend since that is my rep with the owning corp. That resulted in losing my ship, about two and a half million in scan data, and waking up in a detention center. So I took my new replacement DX, a few drinks, and got back on the road to Deciat. That went well for a couple of jumps. The Honk picked up a signal source with zero risk, so I went off to look at it. And promptly ran into a rather large chunk of it. It was an exploded ship, but there didn't seem to be much cargo floating about. I did get a couple of mats, but nothing great. I headed toward the elliptic and took a check on my systems. Was surprised to see my FSB had more damage than the others. Most were around 96 to 94, but the FSB was closer to 86. Could that have been from the collision? I'll be a bit more cautious from now on. (I tend to bump things.)
HIP 42196 has 30 planets; 5 are Gas Giants and 4 are atmospheric, with two added asteroid belts. It's all serviced by a single Outpost Station, Mukai Dock. Most of the planets have some sort of facility on them, Facilities cover quite the range from mining and biologicals, the high tech and military. All in a Low Sec Empire system. Smuggler's dream. I didn't see one patrol ship in space. Some planet facilities had them, but I didn't investigate.
So, basically, I pulled my damaged vehicle into the only repair station for LYs, with the thing to take me those LYs being the damaged part. And the repair part they need isn't in stock because they don't get many DXs through HIP 42196, and they have to order it. That could take a couple of weeks or more, and then there's the wait list, as they are the only repair shop for all the planet outposts.
I spent the month playing poker in various bars and other areas of iniquity. I'd win enough to get people thinking I was a good player, and lose enough for them to think I wasn't that good. It was a pleasant enough way to spend time, but when I was told the DX was ready to fly I got everything on board and stowed for flight. That last day was spent going from game to game, taking all the pots I could in the space of an hour, and move on to the next. There were about six in all that I could catch. I got back to the ship and headed into the black before the locals could light the torches and grab their pitch forks.
Currently we are in Col 285 Sector NS-Y B15-2 sitting on 2. This system doesn't have a station. Nor does it have any planet outposts that I have seen so far. There are some defense towers around, It seems uninhabited. It's anarchy and Empire.
I did finally come up with a name for the DX. Considering the delays I've had this trip... Snake Eyes.
