16 October 3305The X-ray nova turned out to be 3 black holes orbiting each other. TrA X-1 is an x-ray source in Trianguli Australis. It was discovered way back in 1974 using radio astronomy. I spent a little time cruising around but as exotic as black holes sound (especially 3 of them) there's not a lot to do.

Continued the journey the last couple of days discovering another 13 star systems. The one I'm in now is an exploration class Gold system. The first moon of the second planet, a gas giant, is amazing. It has no atmosphere and is icy. It's literally covered in canyons, some of them are more than 4 kilometers deep. It's a canyon racer's dream!
Short log entry. On with the journey. This could be a long leg unless I find something else unexpected. Heading out toward the middle of the Circinus Transit.
