Did a scan of the entire system and found a planetoid with multiple geological sites.... and a Guardian structure. Forget geysers, this is incredibly exciting. It looks like I'm far from the first human visitor here but that takes nothing from the intrigue. I dropped out of glide about six kilometres away from the detection point and gently nudged the ship towards the scanned location.Lights on.
This is different to the ruins described in the codex as the mostly intact structures are larger than I'd expected. Although a lot of the site is broken (looted?) there's a definitive shape and purpose to this location. The pylons and gantry structures are arranged...almost like an armoured shell with some sort of machine at it's head. Will set down and open the databanks from Cannon Research to see what I can find.
It's almost time to get wheels on dirt but Susan is staying on the ship. She seemed totally indifferent to the find and I've heard scratching along the access corridors to the SRV bay.
When it's time I'll take the spare. More espresso and reading to do.
