Xpress Trip in the Void...

Exploring the unknown always felt really appealing to me... But as we entered the "Fleet Carrier Era", and with the return of "Community Goals", I got more compelled to stick around the "Bubble".Despite the variety of things to do, sometimes boredom hits the soul and we need a little adventure to spice things up.
So, for the last few days I kept thinking it would be awesome to discover something 'new' (for me), heard and red about many things and decided to go look for a Wolf-Rayet Star where I could 'print' my name as a 1st discovery.
My adventure started on Galaxy Map, while still docked in my carrier. After some time looking through different sectors I got some good 'candidates' that weren't spotted as discovered on "EDSM".... the problem was they were around 18000 ly away from the bubble in the direction of "SagittariusA*".
I had to make a decision. And I decided not to think too much.
I went to my carrier's Shipyard and grabbed my fully engineered lightweight Anaconda. Found an already 'known system' around the area I was heading, and plotted the route through a 'neutron highway'.
My goal was to head there as soon as possible since Wof-Rayet Stars are so rare and those systems seemed to be undiscovered...
So I 'jumped', and 'jumped', and 'jumped'.... only leaving the highway to scoop fuel or leaving supercruise to repair the FSD.
2 hours and 30 mins later, I drop on the first 'candidate' system. The cold feeling of disappointment hits me when I notice the system already have been previously discovered.
It's late. Was a long trip and took me a while to get there. "But c'mon!"- I thought.
I knew this could happen. So there's no turning back now.
I then hop to the next system. "Honk" on drop, and for my big surprise and satisfaction, there was 'no name' on the star.
It was mine... Had to be....
Suddenly, I was in a rush to sell the data.
I go to Galaxy Map and search for systems around the area that might have a Fleet Carrier with Universal Cartographics module... "DSSA Buurian Anchorage" was parked 2500 ly from me, at "The Dryau Awesomes". Further away from the bubble and in the direction of Sag.*
I didn't care and went straight to him.
I sold the cartography and enjoyed the rest of the evening on that lovely system. The Dryau Awesomes
Today after waking up, I made the journey back, as fast as I went.
The circumstance, decision making and focus I needed to carry on this adventure in such a short (and fast) time will be kept in my memory.
...as well as "other things"!
