Comeuppance is Nigh

It's been a long past few months hauling data and widgets my rusty, trusty T-9, 'The Bovine Joni'. Working for the Federation has never been easy, but these last few missions took me into the heart of pirate territory during my Canopus-Exphiay run, without a paddle.
So I brought an SLF and the service of a brave fool, who earned his 30 million credits. Brushes with death are frequent in this line of work, but that man, Sir Oliver George, was determined to hold the line while I made my escape.
So I booked it and left him to his fate; a pirate wing led by the notorious Simon Woods in his hefty Anaconda, as it were. I figured at least I didn't need to pay Oliver for his services if I never see him again. Yet each time I came to clash and flee from this relentless gang, I barely managed to make it back to Rangarajan's base. And there he was, hand extended clutching a services rendered tab. That crazy SOB, Oliver, was hiding in the back of cargo hold smoking a spliff the whole time.
I don't know how he did it, but my guess is a remote control of some kind. Anyway, I made it out alive with the cargo and fulfilled my contract with the Fed Boys, and I guess that's what counts. Because some top brass must have caught wind of my successes and authorized a Corvette to my name.
(Thankfully, they didn't know I had been working for that Duval princess for quite some time before that, but that's neither here nor there.)
Now, none of my previous trials mattered, I was set to right the wrongs I had endured. With this behemoth of ship at my disposal, a fortune in diamonds, a little help from my engineer friends, those bastards infesting Canopus are as good as dead.
Simon Woods, if you are still out there, I will aim for your canopy so you can't scream in the void, while I obliterate each and every member of your pathetic crew. 07
