An engagement ring!

Mrs. Justine, who was my nanny and the closest figure to a mother I've ever had, used to tell me that "a boyfriend is not measured by the value of his engagement ring".Well, I don't have a lot of boyfriend experiences... not so positive, anyway... but wow, this ring is expensive!
Yes, it is an Earth-like planet! My first one! And it is undiscovered! This means a lot of money... and the right to give the planet a name, if and when they'll decide to colonize it. It's not so close to the Bubble, but mankind is expanding, so maybe sooner or later there will be people on "Nerys's Planet", or whatever it will be named.
I was tempted to land on it and to check the environment. But then I decided against it. First, the Fairytale is not certified for atmospheric flight. The technicians told me that actually it could maneuver without problems, but I am not good enough at piloting: Don't forget that I managed to crashland in total void. Second, I remembered to be a medic: it's better not to expose myself to an alien atmosphere without precautions.
So I piloted the Fairytale in a standard orbit and I performed a detailed surface scan, throwing every kind of probe and radar wave to the surface.
There is animal life on the planet: my telescopes have tracked flocks of birds and herds of huge quadrupedal beasts. There are forests and mountains, and deep oceans of liquid water.
But the incredible feature of this planet is the set of rings. They are huge, reflective and very bright, I wonder how they could appear from the surface, like a gigantic mirror that cuts in half the sky and lights up the night.
While I am completing the scan, I decide to take a special kind of selfie, so I launch the inspection probe, the small robot used to check the ship from outside, and I order it to take a picture of the cockpit, with me at the helm and my planet in the background. All hail the mighty Red Doctor of Deep Space! (insert thrown tomatoes and eggs here).
I am already in love with this place. I hope to discover many other planets like this one... because this would mean that I'm rich... but this one will always be my special first boyfriend, the one who gave me the best engagement ring ever.
