Trading Logs and Other Tales

It's been a significant amount of time since I've updated this journal, and a lot has happened since then. So much, that this journal entry is going to have to be more divided up than I'm used to writing; not like I could write it in any other way.I suppose we could begin with my short exploration career. After shipping around VIP's for a long while, I decided that once my personal net worth exceeded 100 million, I would take a celebratory sightseeing trip to the Plaeadies and Bernard's Loop. It was quite something. One of the most beautiful trips I have ever taken. I planned on going further than Bernard's, but the void began to get to me. I felt so alone and couldn't stand it much longer. I plotted a trip back to Procyon and never looked back. My AspX was sold in all but it's FSD and Fuel Scoop, which I kept to install on any future ships. Once I was back, I continued my cruising.
After only a few days of cruising, I still found myself feeling unfulfilled and bored. I began to hear the passenger's cries louder than normal, my ship felt more superficial, and the money didn't feel worth it. After careful consideration, I began shopping around for other ships and looking for a buyer to take Crow Cruises off my hands.
The company was sold, and I purchased a Krait Mk2. I searched for a system to fight in, eventually settled on LHS 215, and fought for the Federal Privateers for a short while. I found a great mentor in the system, a man who had been hunting within the Privateers for years. He taught me the ropes of combat. Ships to target, where to hit them, and how to run away. It was amazing fun. The novelty rarely wore off, especially when I had an amazing soundtrack to fly to. Unfortunately, combat wasn't proving profitable. For every 5 million I made in bounties, I'd lose it all shortly after to a poorly picked fight, or luck. I noticed that Arissa Lavigny Duval had a 20% bonus on bounties collected, so I packed my Krait, woefully said goodbye to Procyon, and shipped off.
I meandered around space for a day or so. I just couldn't find a proper place to settle. What I did find, was a system in desperate need of medicine, and a great deal of money to pay for it. Being the good samaritan I am, I was more than happy to fly between systems and sell them immense amounts of medicine. I found my new favorite career. Trade. I was making bank by shipping medicine. Even with the meager amount of space inside of my trusty Krait, I was making over a million per trip. Within only a few days, I had recovered my net worth from my poorly executed combat expedition. After a considerable amount of thought, I sold my Krait, bought my Type 9, and expanded my trade empire. I discovered that the 9th Imperial Legion of Malaikudi was buying polymers at an obscene amount. 8,000 at the time of writing, which well exceeded the galactic average. Naturally, I began to look for a system selling polymers, and who better but Ross Station in Chana, who had an excess supply. Now I was Jared Attenson, trader extraordinaire. Every 775 unit run was netting me a 11000% profit, which turned out to be 6 million credits per run. In mere hours, I had doubled my net worth.
Now we arrive back at the present day. I'm eyeing up my very first Anaconda, looking to make it my all purpose vehicle to run alongside my Type 9. I'm 30 million outside of even a base model, but I'm sure that will be eaten up in just a few hours. All in all, the future is bright, just as the void is black.
