The Exploration Begins

[Log started 20 0236 Z JUL 3306]Finally, I am getting into the exploring I set out to do 4 days ago. It seems that currently I am chasing the path of multiple different explorers, apparently my first destination was not as random as I had thought. As I get further out, I imagine the number of undiscovered systems will increase quite dramatically, especially since I have plotted my route using the realistic map. Many of the Class T, Y, and L stars will undoubtedly be undiscovered, most of which I believe will have icy bodies.
Nearly had another unfortunate incident earlier. I was jumping through a field of brown dwarfs, and while I knew I only had one jump of fuel remaining, I was going through the motions of jump-scan-jump and forgot that I had failed to re-plot to a scoopable star. I realised with just enough time to cancel the hyperspace jump before I needed to make a to call the fuel rats.
I discovered that Planet 2 A in the Col 359 Sector RL-S c18-2 system had some fantastic foggy canyons. I going to have to remember to come back to it another time with the Skyfox so I can run the canyons in a fighter.
Stayed for some time on Col 359 Sector RP-F d11-78 Planet 2. It had a plentiful supply of Yttrium, as well as some bonus Mercury and Tungsten, nearly doubled my Yttrium stocks. Now all I need to find is some planets with Niobium and/or Polonium so that I can have more than a handful of FSD injections. Just as a precaution. The Woomera is stock after all.
Picked up some Niobium and Arsenic at Swoiwns BL-K b42-6 Planet D 2. I do not need Arsenic for this trip, but I was running low from the FSD upgrades I just completed on the Skyfox and the Nuccaleena. I was not paying attention to what I was going and came in a bit hot over the Planet D 1 unfortunately, so I have collected a couple of percent damage to everything. This is not a problem yet, but it will be if I do it too often.
Came across an unmapped, fully discovered, system with over half of all the planets falling into the terraformable category, one of which was a water world. That system is going to earn a tidy sum from Universal Cartographics.
Aucopp TI-Z d1-47 B 3 has provided me the desired Polonium for FSD injections. I nearly tripled my stocks using only a couple of geological sites, I did not realise I was running so low. While I know the Woomera will make it all the way to Beagle Point, that was an expedition I was going to save for the Gannet or the Skyfox, since they can make the necessary jumps to Ishum's Rest so I that can stop at Salomé's Reach. I will research that more when I return to the bubble from this expedition.
