Two of Them

The Anomaly has arrived on schedule at Oochorrs JE-C c15-0 and started heading toward Oochorrs SZ-N d7-2, 26.1ly away. At its last reported speed, this is a travel time of 95 hours, but the Anomaly has been known to change speeds approximately halfway through each leg of its journey, so only the first two days of this trip are likely foreseeable. As it closed the final few lightyears, commanders began reporting faint visual contact again. It appears that the Anomaly still is in fact visible, but the range at which it can be resolved has been massively reduced from over a hundred lightyears to barely a single lightyear. Some pilots speculate that the Anomaly - whose straightforward route at the very least strongly suggests intelligence - has become aware of human attention and is deliberately reducing its emissions in an attempt at stealth.
Worryingly, reports are now trickling in that a second source of anomalous audio signals has been detected in the Formidine Rift, tentatively triangulated to within the Heart and Soul nebulas. Could this be the beginning of an invasion?
