Captain's Log - July 4th, 3308Navigational teams set a course for the Statue of Liberty nebula on this Fourth of July, where our geological survey teams very carefully analyze silicate magma lava spouts. After collection, samples will be taken back to the Sagan for further analysis.
Continuing our exploration of a high G, geologically active planet, our survey teams come across a silicate vapor vent with temperatures up to 422 degrees Kelvin. Beside the vent, a teams encounter a high density crystal of mercury. I have ordered a small sample to be taken and brought back to the onboard laboratory for analysis and further testing.
