The crew of the R/V Sagan is expected to rendezvous at Waypoint Bravo in Hawking's Gap later in the day, but our science teams could not pass up an opportunity to catalogue a beautiful blue water world, with an atmosphere comprised of 82.3% Nitrogen.

3:00 PM
We have discovered a binary system which our science teams estimate is 6,218 million years old, we can assume that both stars formed at around the same time.
The system is comprised of mainly gas giants.
• Two Class I
• Two Class II
• One Class III
An overwhelmingly majority of planetary moons in the system are geologically active with 12 of 29 being active.

⚠️ ALERT ⚠️
The Sagan has suffered a major casualty. Our only operational Scarab SRV has been destroyed. Our navigation teams are plotting a course for the nearest fleet carrier, The DSSA Kraut in NGC 3199 Sector XJ-A D10, 5,263 lightyears from our current location.
=================================
5:51 PM
Following a power surge while in transit to the DSSA Kraut, we have had a catastrophic loss of system, biological, and geological data. This has set back our expedition significantly. We will have to recoup our losses and continue on.
The officers and crew of the DSSA Kraut have been more than welcoming following our slight misfortunes, offering us food, water, and docking for the night as we prepare to cast ourselves off into the black once more.
