Not sure how, but Famine wins an Election

Begin Log: 0602.26Red Squadron in Wolf 359 is some how winning the election We are in the middle of a famine thanks to multiple new random negative state changes since the January update and no missions for the election have come up. When the election started, all missions were still dedicated to stopping the famine and I thought for sure that the election would be lost. Instead we are winning without one loss. Hopefully this gives us a jump on recovering the economy.
Exploration update:
Returned from a day of exploration yesterday. Found some water worlds and an Earth-like planet but unfortunately I was not the 1st. Did find 1 system with notable stellar phenomena. There were 2 in the system and both had metallic crystal structures. A system scan showed I was the 1st to find this along with everything in the system, however upon returning I did not see it archived. Instead it showed I found a gaseous nebula in a system I do not remember going to. I will have to talk to some tech engineers about my database.
