griefer dock campers

Been seeing the griefers coming out in force, camping at popular stations, as well as reading reports from other commanders.  I have had one bad experience with this when I let my autodoc take control when I left to use the galactic toilet.  I came back to find them ramming my ship to zero health.    Apparently though my impatience for getting into stations has led to my discovery for avoiding these landing pad campers.

When approaching any base, boost in at max speed with any ship except the Cutter.  That ship needs special piloting that I'll get to after.  When boosting to a mail slot at max speed (with Shields), tilt your ship slightly so that you bump into the mail slot as you pass through it.  This will drop your speed down and let you manually drop your speed to comfortably maneuver to your landing pad.   This will not give the griefers any time and if they follow you in, by the time they get to you the station time limit should be coming up and then opening fire on them.
For planet landing pads, I have only been chased, never had them waiting.  I try to exit super cruise around 100km from destination facing them between -40 and -30 for gliding in.  By the time you come out you should be within hailing distance to request docking. If not, give one boost and set your throttle to zero if you are close enough.   Even an autodoc in both of these cases should give you plenty of time to land.
For the outposts I boost in but have my speed set to 50%.  If no one is on the landing pad, you should be close enough to the pad to quickly land as your speed drops.  If someone is already there, you may have to outrun the griefers if they are in pursuit.

With the Cutter, all depends on your skill for flying it. When coming in from super cruise I have my ship pointed at the front of mail slot stations. If you are not sure, it is when you see the mail slot on the display in your ship while also slightly seeing the top and right side of the station from the perspective of the slot. After dropping out I leave the throttle around 35% or the lowest point for maneuvering while hitting the boost once. If timed correctly you should be slowing down to 65-50% by the time you get to the mail slot. If not, give the slot a bump to slow you down.
For landing on a planet, depends on the landing pad location. As stated above with how I make my approach, I would do the same with the cutter only with no boost. This ship drifts like there is no tomorrow so unless I am very far away I dont even try to boost in. If I am close enough to the pad, I let the autodoc take over and never had an issue with avoiding them.
